If you’re wondering how to meditate, it’s likely because you’ve heard a lot about how beneficial it can be to your health. People frequently recommend meditation for many reasons, including lowering stress and anxiety, easing depression, putting you to sleep, making you feel more present, and miraculously transforming you into a better, more grounded human being. The list of claims is endless. While the advantages of meditation have been vastly overstated in many respects, many people believe it is a valuable practice, and we agree! With everything going on in the world, now is a great moment to learn more about meditation and see if it can help you.

How To Meditate - 6 Ways To Learn How To Meditate

How to Meditate

Meditation is something everyone can do. Here’s how.

Meditation is both easier and more challenging than most people would think. Below you will find our suggested way you can try your first meditation, make sure you’re in a relaxing environment, set a timer, and give it a go:

1) Lie down.

Look for a relaxing and quiet place to do so.

2) Establish a time restriction.

Try to set aside a tolerable amount of time, such as five or ten minutes; this will be beneficial if you’re just getting started.

3) Pay attention to your body.

To do this, you can make sure that you are steady and in a posture that you can maintain for an extended period of time. We recommend laying down on a healing meditation mat which will give you a completely comfortable and enhanced meditation experience.

4) Pay attention to your breathing.

Remember to pay attention to the sensations of your breath as it enters and exits your body.

5) Recognise when your thoughts are wandering.

Your attention will inevitably leave at some stages and stray to other things on your mind. When this happens, simply restore your focus to the breath when you notice your mind has wandered – in a few seconds, a minute, or five minutes.

6) Be kind with your wandering thoughts.

Don’t pass judgement on yourself or concentrate on the nature of the ideas you’re having. Simply return to your peaceful state of mind.

That is our standard technique for meditation. You concentrate, your mind may wander, you bring it back while doing it as gently as possible (as many times as you need to).

Is it going to be hard for me to meditate?

Meditation isn’t any more challenging than what we’ve just talked about above, don’t worry. It’s very effective and worthwhile. The ultimate goal is to make a daily commitment to sit, even if it’s only for five minutes.

We believe everyone should at least give meditation a go. You never know; you might just find a new passion! At Path of Light, we offer various tools to help you meditate peacefully and with ease. We provide everything you need for the perfect meditation session, such as:
